Home Tom Campbell Panelist: Reinvention Presenters

Tom Campbell was born in London England in 1951 but lived his early years in Canada and the US before journeying back to England for art school when he was seventeen. After studying at The Camden Arts Centre and earning a BFA degree from The Camberwell School of Art in London, he spent a number of years making props and sets for theatre and TV in England before immigrating back to Canada in 1982, which coincided with his determination to work solely as an artist in painting and sculpture. In 1985 he had his first major one man show at Gallery Stratford, won the Art Forms prize at the Kitchener - Waterloo Art Gallery and became represented by the Bau Xi Gallery in Toronto and Vancouver. In 1989 he began teaching at various art institutions including the ROM, Sheridan College , Sanford Fleming College and the Toronto School of Art . He now serves on the Board of Governors of the Toronto School of Art where he continues to teach as well as teaching on the island of Ikaria , Greece, in the Spring. On television he has been featured on Artists in the Urban Environment and Star Portraits. Campbell continues to exhibit his paintings and sculpture regularly and is represented in collections in Canada, USA, Europe and the Middle East
