CSARN - Helping Canada’s Senior Artists Home
Home

C*SARN was created to promote, protect and preserve a precious resource: the accumulated talent and artistry of Canada’s older professional creators.

Artists don’t retire. Their creative juices don’t shut off at 65, 75, or 85. Their art doesn't diminish with age. Nor does their contribution to our culture.

But age does present challenges.  There are fewer roles for musicians or actors. Few qualify for a pension or RRSP. Health, family, and living issues make it difficult to practice their art.

Formerly known as the Canadian Senior Artists’ Resource Network, C*SARN [pronounced
see-sarn] helps Canada’s senior professional artists maintain creative and healthy lives through a number of programs: mentorship, seminars, our annual Maintaining Creativity conference, our Salons, our Seniors’ Care Advisory Program, and the resource section of our website.

C*SARN is a signatory to the Canadian Creative Industry’s Code of Conduct.
